The January image in my mind came from a corner of the park in my hometown, January is the coldest month in my country, and everything will
be covered by thick snow, so the snow is a key point to make this active and splendid image.
1. I am going to start with pavilion; the first object that has some Chinese element, more complex part in this object is the roof.

>Drag a box( 250mm8500mm*10mm) and covert it into Editable poly, choose polygon, delete top and bottom face.
>Choose border, and select the top border, pull it a little bit up by push the shift key to copy other border at the same time, reduce this new boarder smaller
>Repeat last step several times to obtain a convenient highness, and with the same method to make the top of the roof, and click cap to close the last opening.
>So by now I got 4 edges of the roof, but they should be protruding in real life. In order to doing that first I am going to use Chamfer to give those edges a width, choose one edge,loop-ring and toselect all the 4 edges.

>It is important to Weld the edge with the roof body, delete the faces that need to be melded, and go to vrtex level choose the points need to be welded, make them closer,click the weld,


justify the welding data.
>I use the connect method to make the roof tile area. choose top and bottom line of the tile area and conect them about 14 segments.do the same thing on the new line.

and then chamfer all the new line,the amount is 2.0,then bevel all the new polygons,repeat them and create another areas.

>Use the tool CUT to divide a small part from the end of all the edges and extrude them to get the raise tail.


Built the extra parts of the pavilion and put them together.
Rendering:

I

would like to make this pavilion a little bit older; so I create some old martial map and use bump to make rough surface.
2. Bridge
This is a classical Chinese one single hole stone bridge, and main method I used was 2d shape turn to 3d object,taht mean I created alomst every parts of it from 2d shape.

First, to create one side of the bridge, go to shapes level to drag two Arcs (one big and one small) and one line connect them like left figure, and convert one of Arc into Editable spline, attach the line and other Arc, use Weld to weld all single point(I think this is quite important,if there is one point is not connect I can covert it into Editable level), extrude it. I created

the cloud shape by 3 circles and one rectangle welded.

Second, create rest of objects which are very besic objects such as the pale and the ball, and at last drag a stair from Stair shape.

Rendering: I only use Blinn shader for the ball on that pale, and add a reflection map, and rest of objects are made from stone so I am just going to use Oren-nayar-blinn shader, and add a bump map to create the stone surface.

But actually we can not see the all the top face,because they are all be hidden under the snow, here I just want to build a perfect bridge, not only half of it.
